On April 20th a group of CAS students met at the CoBank Center for Agricultural Education with the Board of Premier Farm Credit to present the outputs semester-long projects developed as part of a professional development initiative in conjunction between DARE and Premier Farm Credit.

The projects developed this year where financial educational information sheets for beginning and young farmers (which are available on Premier’s website here) and directions to creating a farm and estate succession planning workshop.
The Premier Farm Credit Student Board of Directors allows the students to work closely with Premier Farm Credit and their CSU advisers in projects where they apply the skills learnt in their classes to real world applications. At the conclusion of the project the student board was recognized for their efforts and given a stipend from Premier Farm Credit.
